The Clermont County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host the 21st Annual Candlelight Vigil and Wellness Event on September 8, 2022 at Sycamore Park in Batavia at 7 p.m. This event is held every year to remember, honor, and cherish the lives of individuals lost to suicide.
According to Heather Cokl, a Coalition member and Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services' Associate Vice President in Clermont County, “The impact of the Covid crisis has been substantial in all communities and its effects can be seen in all areas of behavioral health and wellness. We invite the Clermont community as well as Greater Cincinnati to join us so we can have more conversations about the stigma of struggling with a mental illness, the struggles of those who suffer from substance use disorder, and to allow us the honor of helping to recognize and remember those we have lost in the last year to accidental or completed acts of suicide.”
If you would like to have a candle lit in the memory of a loved one, email Cindy Knoblauch at cknoblauch@ccmhrb.org
This year's event will be in-person but will also be streamed over Facebook Live at: https://www.facebook.com/clermont.board/
